- i'm a second generation, learn as you go baker. my mom taught herself how to decorate cakes over 30 years ago. she is a perfectionist with buttercream. i, on the other hand, chose fondant to cover my cakes. recently, i've become interested in cupcakes. i've been enjoying researching and creating new and different recipes.
